    Emergency Medical Service

Ware County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) provides advanced life support through its ambulance service to the citizens of Waycross and Ware County.

The Ware County Board of Commissioners established EMS in 1972 in an effort to reduce mortality in medical emergency incidents.

Utilizing six licensed ambulances, twenty-seven full time emergency personnel in three strategic locations, Ware County EMS is able to provide its services around the clock, everyday of the week. Our modern fleet of ambulances is equipped with the latest technology available, enabling us to often provide life saving interventions in an out-of-hospital setting. Ware County’s EMS personnel are a group of highly trained, highly skilled individuals who are experts in emergency medicine. Moreover, they possess very high ethical standards and are among the most highly dedicated professionals in Ware County.

To ensure that our services remain superior and continue to operate at peak efficiency, our Medical Director meticulously monitors operations and logistics while managing standard department administrative needs.

    OUR MISSION:
Ware County EMS strives to provide top-quality emergency medical care and transportation services for its citizens while regarding economy, efficiency and benefit to public welfare.
